Connect Colors: Leave Room for the Unfinished Connection

Use the no-crossing rule to plan more than the first attractive line.

Every connection uses shared space

Connect Colors describes joining dots without crossing lines and completing all required connections on a board. That means a locally neat line can still create a global problem. Before drawing the first route that looks obvious, inspect the dots that remain. Ask whether the proposed connection separates another required pair or occupies the only visible passage between regions.

Trace an alternative before committing

For one difficult pair, imagine two candidate routes and compare what each leaves open. You are not looking for decorative symmetry; you are preserving access for the unfinished work. This is a suggested planning exercise, not confirmation that the board is a particular grid or that every empty cell must be covered. Read the actual completion rule in the game.

Review the first forced detour

If another connection becomes awkward, identify which earlier line made it so. Repeatedly redrawing the final pair may leave the original constraint intact. The supplied mouse-and-touch label does not document line editing, undo or reset behavior, so use the options the interface actually presents. This note cannot provide a tested board solution or a level count. It offers a way to judge a route partly by the space it deliberately leaves available.
